The year of 2005 saw
Steeleye Span taking things relatively easy, which gave
Ken an opportunity to complete his solo album 'Thirteen Reasons'
released on September 5th.
The album, in its eclecticism, is a very accurate representations
of Ken's approach to music - with its solo acoustic instrumentals, electric folk-rock,
country-like songs, bluegrass banjo & mandolin picking, steel
slide guitar playing, stories, ballads, light-hearted pieces, and
even a George Formby-esque ukulele track.
'Thirteen Reasons' features guest appearances from what could be described
as the cream of the British folk scene, including:
Maddy Prior, Chris While, Rick Kemp, Maartin Allcock, Joe Broughton,
Peter Knight, Liam Genockey, Tim Harries and Pete Abbott.
